Project «Ukrainian school of young politician»,

Forming of a new generation of professional, responsible and qualified young politicians was the purpose of this project.
Ukrainian School of young politician (USYP) unites 30 young people from different regions of Ukraine, among which: the representatives of NGO, the representatives of the trade-unions, active students.
School of a young politician is realized in three regions of Ukraine: in the town of Chernihiv, Zhytomir, Kharkiv (coordinating regions), which in their turn unite young people from neighbour regions.
School which was organized in Chernihiv united the representatives - participants from Chernihiv, Chernihiv region, the town of Cherkasy and the town of Poltava.
In order to become the participant, every candinameen passes three selection stages: questionnaire, interview and testing.
School of a young politician is the cycle of seminars and trainings during which participants get knowledge and skills, beginning from the notion «policy» and its’ meaning to the study of the basic principles of making a successful election campaign.
Invited trainers and experts of the School are skilled specialists in the sphere of policy, journalism, well - known PR-technologists and other. Organizers also invite well-known successful politicians, deputies, city chairman, governor, state officials who share their promotion experience with young people. This is as a good example and inspiration for the participants of the School. Within the project the organizers developed a manual «Alphabet of a young politician», which includes basic themes and practical exercises for young politicians preparation.
During 2003 a few Schools were organized and conducted.
As the result of the conducted monitoring by “Y21” the most graduating students of the project «Ukrainian school of a young politician» (near 450 people) became the successful figures both in the policy and in the «third sector».
